Employees collect donations at the first STOCKMEIER Rudelsingen.

The spontaneous ideas are often the best. Over 30 colleagues took part in the first STOCKMEIER carol sing. They not only sang at the top of their voices, but also donated generously. A private fundraising campaign raised €900 for the Wintersheide children's home in Bielefeld.

The Wintersheide children's home is home to children aged between 4 and 13. It is divided into two areas, a protection centre and a long-term residential group area. The protection centre takes in children who suddenly find themselves in a life situation where no parent can take over supervision. Refugee children who have been taken to Germany by relatives but are then abandoned are also taken into care here. The long-term residential group is home to children for whom it is clear that they will have a longer stay in the children's home.

Our employees used the donated money to buy musical instruments, games, a Toniebox and a scooter in consultation with the management of the children's home. The gifts were brought to the children's home by our colleague Christin before Christmas to surprise the children at their Christmas party.

Christin is one of the initiators of the entire campaign. Through our intranet community "Musicians @ STOCKMEIER", she and her colleague Christian got together musically and immediately rehearsed a few Christmas songs. The carol sing-along provided the perfect stage for a first small performance.

We are already looking forward to next year!
